GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Infrastructure Manager to oversee and manage our company's infrastructure operations on a global scale.
As the Global Infrastructure Manager, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's global infrastructure strategy to support business operations efficiently and securely.
This position is responsible for coordinating, planning, and leading computer-related activities.
Help determine the IT needs of and is responsible for implementing computer systems to fulfill Loram information systems requirements.
Responsibility for managing and growing the help desk solution is a major part of the job.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Strategic and Functional Develop and implement a global infrastructure strategy:
Design and execute a comprehensive strategy for the organization's global infrastructure, aligning it with business objectives and ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
Monitor performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure.
Infrastructure architecture and design:
Define and maintain infrastructure standards, guidelines, and best practices, including network infrastructure, data centers, servers, storage systems, and cloud infrastructure.
Ensure infrastructure availability and performance:
Monitor and maintain the global infrastructure environment, proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure high availability, optimal performance, and minimal downtime.
Manage and direct help desk resources located in multiple global locations.
Manages all technology vendors, 3rd party, and outsourcing relationships.
Work with the Security Analysts to Enforce security measures and compliance standards across the global infrastructure, ensuring data integrity, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance.
Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans for the global infrastructure, ensuring data protection and minimal disruption to business operations in the event of a disaster.
Leadership and Talent DevelopmentLead and mentor a team of infrastructure professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture, providing guidance, and facilitating their professional growth and development.
ComplianceAudit and keep up to date on all support contracts, and software license compliance to ensure the company is keeping support on equipment and the services, staying legally compliant with company approved software standards and taking advantage of negotiated pricing on both.

Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
A master's degree is a plus.
Experience:
5-8 years of proven experience in managing global infrastructure operations, preferably in a large-scale enterprise environment.
Strong expertise in infrastructure architecture, design, and implementation, including network infrastructure, data centers, servers, storage systems, and cloud technologies.
In-depth knowledge of security principles, practices, and compliance standards related to infrastructure management.
5-8 years of experience leading, managing, and implementing systems projects.
3-5 years of managerial experience.
5-8 years of experience working in IT operations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience in managing infrastructure projects, from planning to execution, with a track record of successful delivery.
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams towards achieving organizational goals.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a strategic mindset and the ability to navigate complex challenges.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build strong partnerships.

Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
A working knowledge of railroads, transportation, heavy construction, or combination.
Knowledge of or ability to quickly become familiar with Railroad products and services, particularly pertaining to maintenance of tracks and structures.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
